After spending a number of years living abroad creating a long list of cultural misunderstandings, and living through ridiculous situations while teaching English as a foreign language, W. K. Valentine came back to the States to get a degree in English and his teaching license. After a few years of teaching writing and literature at international schools to unruly 9th graders, he decided to try his hand at his only true love and write novels. Currently, he is back home in Minneapolis, MN.
Valentine has a passion for science fiction and fantasy and is a sucker for dark and gritty cyberpunk, dystopian, space opera, grimdark, epic, and neo-noir. Some of his favorite authors include William Gibson, Richard K. Morgan, and Pierce Brown.
